Richard Cummings is the founder and principal consultant of Cummings Training & Consulting Services, bringing more than 35 years of progressive experience in the Canadian fire service. Throughout his career, he has served in both volunteer and composite fire departments, developing a comprehensive understanding of the operational, administrative, and regulatory challenges facing today's fire services and municipalities.
For over 27 years as a Chief Officer, Richard has provided strategic leadership in emergency response, fire prevention, public safety, organizational development, and regulatory compliance. His experience spans every aspect of modern fire service management, enabling him to provide practical, standards-based solutions that improve safety, operational effectiveness, and organizational performance.
